Sailing Israel is the home port for English speaking sailors in Israel. We are the leading ASA, American Sailing Association school in Israel. Our services include a range of nautical activities from the ASA Sailing Academy, Israeli Skipper License courses, to guided yacht charters on the Blue Mediterranean waters of Israel.
Sailing Israel is led by experienced captains Mark Abrahamson and Howard Clayman.
Howard and Mark have thousands of sea miles, and when not teaching or leading a charter, you'll find them on their own Bavaria 44 sailing throughout the Med.

Meet The Captains
Founder & CEO
Mark Abrahamson
Mark, an avid yacht cruiser and instructor, originally from Cape town, will skipper your yacht charter and help you enjoy a fun day on the water, while regaling you with his sailing stories and great sense of humor.
Mark has an Israeli Commercial Skippers licence as well as an International
Certificate of Competency for Operators of Pleasure Craft and a IYT Yachtmaster Offshore Sailing Certificate.
When not sailing for a living, he sails for fun with his 2 young kids and friends on his yacht in the Med.
Founder & CEO
Howard Clayman
Howard is a veteran sailor from the shores of California. He “washed up” on the beaches of Tel Aviv and fell in love with sailing the Med.
Howard has extensively raced and cruised in California, Mexico, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey.
Howard is a certified ASA instructor and teaches both ASA and Israeli Skipper license courses. He also runs the Anglo Sailing Club affiliated with Tashoot Sailing Academy, organizing charters and flotillas in Greece, Cyprus, and Israel.
